Advertising through Genpop
Genpop offers a targeted marketing framework to our partners in a variety of
ways and levels. Our goal is to provide our partners with a marketing service,
which is based on user profile and targets only those who would be
probably interested in what our partners offer. This in turn increase the ROI
(return of investment) of marketing dollars spent in promotions and offers.
Our offerings are encompassed in the following:

Targeted banners 'based on user's profile.

Specific News Feeds from partners (Mainly Academic Institutions)

Promotions through our gadgets (i.e. Vista Feed Gadget)
Genpop's targeted marketing platform abides by the following:
1. Our partners specify which
profiles they want to target based on their research and findings.
Genpop helps
you in selecting these if required based on user statistics gathered from
registered users. Genpop's Rollin Banner Adds refresh every time the users logs
in or switches pages to show new marketing materials. For example, partners may
want to show bike offers to users who have specified bicycle riding as one of
their favorite hobbies. Genpop then shows users those banners with more
frequency to those users.
2. Genpop will show only relevant
information to the users.
There is an increasing
amount of information available out there and we don't want to clog up
users Home Page with irrelevant information. This is why Genpop will go out of
its way to make sure users have their say on what they don't want
to see or receive. This will be available through the User's Feeds preference
settings. For example, a user might not what to receive notifications
directly to his email or he may not want to receive offers from cities other
than his home city.
3. Genpop cannot assure that users
will follow links to our Partners Websites.
At the end users choose want they want to see
and not see. We will do our best through a continued feedback framework to
improve our services to our users. This feedback may also come from our partners
based on results marketing efforts.
